If I were to write a ghost story, or even a novel of such caliber as Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, I would start by setting a mood that arose mystery and ambiguity in the reader's minds. My story would consist of darker aspects that were on the cusp of morbidity and would also touch on the fringes of the human imagination. My setting would consist of a darkness that felt perpetual, a stormy night, and a victorian London era home. I would introduce the character's, who would be like Tim Burton characters.
