If money were no object my career choice would not change. I would still want to be a pharmaceutical researcher and developer. I would still want this because I enjoy doing the research aspect and would like to help people by developing prescription drugs or even some type of vaccine for diseases. To me research on the microbiological level is fun and what I want to spend my life doing. I would like to join the Marine Corps first though. I would like to do this because with a military background I could get contracted by the government or hired by a company that's contracted by the government for a biology job. I would like to work for the government because I could then work in a BSL-3 or BSL-4 lab. Labs at these levels really help society because in theses labs highly infectious and lethal diseases are researched and have cures made. This would help society very much.
Cool blog. I myself also want to be a researcher. The military is not the only way to "jump into" a BSL3/BSL4 lab. A PhD in Experimental Pharmacology (which is what I am going to try to earn) is a very important step. Think about earning one of these. They can help in the long run.
